Tyler Hadley Resentencing: Mental Health Experts for Defense Argue Hadley Can Be Rehabilitated

“I’ve never seen anything like this in all my 30 years of practice,” a psychiatrist testified at Tyler Hadley’s resentencing Wednesday, referring to the 17-year-old killer’s lack of violent history — until the day he killed his parents in July 2011.

It’s not unexpected that Hadley lied to mental health experts after his arrest, including faking symptoms of a psychosis and claiming he heard voices, Harvard Medical School professor Eugene Beresin said, testifying for the defense.
