Mental health and excessive force were among the topics discussed by candidates for Orange County Sheriff in Pine Hills Thursday evening.
Orlando Police Chief John Mina, retired Florida Highway Patrol Chief Joe Lopez and Orlando businessman Darryl Sheppard answered audience questions during a town-hall style debate at the Pine Hills Community Center. Mina and Lopez are running as independents. Sheppard is seeking the office as a Democrat.
