Many communities are adopting telehealth as one way to address gaps in access to treatment for mental and substance use disorders for justice-involved populations. This webinar hosted by SAMHSA’s GAINS Center will present ways to incorporate telemedicine into treatment programming for substance use and mental health disorders, including how to expand access to medication-assisted treatment using telemedicine, types of telehealth provider settings, and implementation best practices and barriers. Several program examples will be reviewed, including a program using telehealth to improve services to tribal members.
