Following the deaths of two Kissimmee Police Officers, some have raised questions about the effectiveness of Florida Baker Act. Everett Glenn Miller, who is accused of the murders, had been taken into custody under the Baker Act just a month before the shootings. Miller, however, was released without hospitalization.
